Yesterday was Halloween; it was also my 23rd birthday. This is the first year ever that I have done nothing to celebrate my birthday, and I am actually okay with that. I guess when you have two kids, and your birthday falls on such a “holiday”, they come first.
James dressed up as a pirate, with a beard and all!

This was the first Halloween that he actually knew what was going on enough to get excited about it! They talked about Halloween all week at his school and had a party on Friday to celebrate. So by the time it was (finally) time to Trick-or-Treat, he was ready! We all had an excellent time walking from house to house and seeing all of the other costumes. James even remembered to use his manners each time someone added candy to his pumpkin bucket! Even Mila enjoyed herself in the Baby Bjorn, that daddy was gladly sporting!

All in all, I had a fabulous birthday. Not because it was all about me, but because I got to spend it with my family and witness James have the time of his life Trick-or-Treating for the first time!
A wife and a mother to an (almost) 3 year old and an (almost) 4 month old. Follow me as I grow, mature, and figure out life. All while doing the best I know how to raise my two children.
