About

My name is Carley, I am 23 years young. My journey began 4 years ago when I met Dan (my husband). I was 19 and just enjoying the life I was living. About 6 months after we started dating BAM! I missed a period, took a pregnancy test, and saw that glorious little blue + sign. I was freaking out. I had to tell Dan, but how? Me being the impatient person I am, I called him right then and there and through all the crying managed to burst out “I’m pregnant!!!” He very calmly told me “It’s okay, I love you and I am on my way home now”…. The next three days were filled with crying, and a lot of talking. We finally came to the decision that we were keeping the baby (Yay!).
On December 29, 2008 we welcomed James Daniel into this world, our absolutely perfect baby boy.

When James was about 9 months old, Dan (not) very romantically got on one knee in our living room while we were in our pajamas and asked me to marry him! I was SO ecstatic! Wedding planning began immediately; I literally bought my dress a week later. On September 18, 2010 we tied the knot, and had the most kick ass wedding!

I always knew I wanted to have my children close in age, so I didn’t waste any time. We found out we were expecting again in November 2010. We welcomed Mila Rose, our perfectly pink, and oh so healthy baby girl on July 6, 2011.

So here I am, a wife and a mother to an (almost) 3 year old and an (almost) 4 month old. I often find myself wondering what happened to my simple life. My husband and I both work full time, and there is never enough time in the day to do what needs to be done. Which means my laundry piles high before I get to it, and there is always a dish or two (or three or four) in the sink.
This blog will follow me as I grow, mature, and figure out life. All while doing the best I know how to raise my two children. I’m not prefect, and I will never claim to be. I’m just an average girl like you that was thrown into motherhood way before I was ready.
